IANG

Introduction:
IANG (Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates). This means that non-local students who have studied full-time in Hong Kong in an officially recognized undergraduate program or above will be granted a one-year stay visa upon graduation and can use this visa to stay and work in Hong Kong. Graduates can stay in Hong Kong unconditionally for one year after applying for this visa, with unlimited trips to and from Hong Kong Mainland.

After one year, as long as your work is related to your studies and your income reaches a certain standard (there is no strict hard and fast rule, the Immigration Department thinks it is good to meet the standard), you can work in Hong Kong without restriction during the validity of the visa (you can change jobs), and after the expiration you can apply for renewal (submit a renewal before the visa expires, proof of work is required for renewal) until you get PR (permanent resident status).

IANG Application/Renewal for people:

Non-local graduates

Have a full-time job in Hong Kong and passed
Reside permanently in Hong Kong/Mainland
People who have returned to work on the mainland and do not return to Hong Kong much.
But want to get PR
IANG Renewal Notes:
Confirm the validity of the Hong Kong and Macau Permit

Non-local graduates are not required to have a job to renew their IANG for the first time, and are required to have a job to renew their IANG from the second year onwards. However, before renewing your visa, check if your Hong Kong and Macau Permit has enough validity for you to renew.

For example, if you want to renew your visa for 1 year, but the validity of the permit only has 6 months left, then please change your permit first, otherwise the Immigration Department will only give you a renewal according to the remaining validity of your permit. You can choose to change your Hong Kong and Macau Permit in Hong Kong (China Travel Service) or in the Mainland (Immigration Hall). Note: If you have changed your permit during the period, please bring both copies with you.

Confirm whether annual revenue collection meets renewal requirements

For non-first time visa renewals, you have to make sure your annual income reaches HK$140,000, i.e. an average of 12k per month and above.

This is a threshold for renewal after the second time, I think the Immigration Department is to want all partners to prove that they have enough ability to live in Hong Kong, after all, in the latest global survey of the cost of living in 2019, Hong Kong topped the throne

Time required for the approval:

In general, for the first renewal of a fresh non-local graduate visa, the Immigration Department will complete the processing within about two weeks after receiving all the required documents. Therefore, first-time visa renewals can be prepared 1.5 months before the expiry of the student visa.
As for applications from non-local graduates returning to Hong Kong, it will take four weeks after the Immigration Department receives all the required files. So non-first time renewers need to prepare the renewal documents 1 month before the expiry of IANG.

Note: The peak application period is from June to August each year and it may take longer to process visa applications.

Hong Kong Graduate Students

Hong Kong graduate students:
No age limit, you can apply with a college degree or above, and you can get a Hong Kong master's degree in just 1 year, and at the same time, you can realize that one person can study and the whole family can get a Hong Kong status, and you can take away your spouse and unmarried children under 18 years old during your study.

Hong Kong's postgraduate studies are short, and five Hong Kong universities are ranked among the top 100 in the world and are recognized globally, with high academic qualifications.
